"Una! What a unique name!"

The exclamation I used to dread. As a kid, I just wanted to fit in. But as an adult, I know my unique name is an asset and I lean into it. I may also have a bit of an obsession with naming things—so you better bet there’s a story behind Split-Second.

Unapologetically, unabashedly, and completely unafraid.

This is how I approach client relationships and writing, too. I only work with brands and people I'm enthusiastic about and give them my best work. And you deserve copy that makes your brand shine--Unapologetic. Unabashed. Unafraid.

After nearly a decade in language access, I started Split Second Consulting to invest in myself. In my previous role as Director of Translation, I honed my communication, people, and advocacy skills. I also saw a lot of copy and learned what worked and what didn’t. Now I bring this experience to my own clients.

Who do I work with?

Woman-centered organizations. But not just any. If your organization has a killer communications team and you're humming along like a well-oiled machine. Rock on. You probably don't need me.

I work with the people who are dreading this work. Swamped with projects.

Adding writing to the bottom of a loooong list of other projects. Kicking the can down the road-- even though they know that well-written content is the lifeblood of their fundraising campaigns, webinars, social media, and internal and external communications of all sorts.
